reform. it is quite a big undertaking considering there isn't a lot of time left but certainly some movement that we have seen since yesterday, guy. >> any specifics? i think important people who are listening to the process of what's happening in washington, what this means for people over a longer period of time is fewer services and smaller government and maybe higher taxes or higher cost of living your life as the services go away. i mean, all of these have amazing and long lasting ramifications for how we live our lives. my specifics? >> huge long -- no. honestly in terms of the specific, i mean, we can talk generally about where the cuts would come from, entitlements, defense spending, you can see how that would affect different people and the nation as a whole. specifics, no, i think we are going to be getting, obviously, more details on that to come. let's just take a look at some of the things that some of the folks who are coming here to the white house are going to demand because, remember, president obama is hosting eight members of congress, top two democrats and top tw

that the defense attorney brought out. and she focused in and brought the real big picture. and the real big picture is, what does the totality of the evidence show? it shows a girl that did not like her life. had two options. one option was to be a mom. or go back to her single life. she chose to sacrifice her baby. i think the jury will see the arguments of baez and what he is looking for is not acquittal but maybe one or two on the jury to decide with them so he can have a hang or hold out and possibly a hung jury. >>greg: the legal panel will be with us through the hour. plus, live updates from the courthouse in orlando and more on the closing arguments from both the prosecution and the defense. thanks to the venture card from capital one, we get double miles on every purchase, so me and my lads earned arip to san francisco twice as fast we get double miles every time we use our card... i'll take these two... ...no matter what we're buying. ...and all of those. and since double miles add up fast, we can bring the whole gang! it's hard to beat double miles! whoa dude. decided to engage in just nothing but blatant character assassination. and that, i think, was the big problem in this case. they didn't have -- and they had a sequestered jury. and apparently the kind of guilt by osmosis that they would have seen if they weren't sequestered didn't seep into that jury room. instead of people saying that this is a tragedy, because anytime that you have a little girl who dies, that's a tragedy. to me is absolutely inexplicable. if you don't know what happened, how can you convict somebody beyond a reasonable doubt and put them to death? i mean, it makes no sense whatsoever. maybe it's good for iran or north corey ca but not in america. >> i'm going to ask everyone to stick around. we'll come back to you shortly. let us know what you think. we're on facebook or follow me on twitter @ john king cnn. i'll be tweeting tonight. up next, more what the defense did. how it did for their client with a reputation for truth telling -- in that vein we'll highlight some of the many statements casey anthony made that were simply not true, including an imaginary nanny.
amendment rights. >> a big part of it is how well you're doing it. i did a survey and i asked people who are voters whether they watch fox news or not and i found that 67% of republicans watch fox news several times a week or more. that you knew. but 54% of independents watched it several times a week or more. and 21% of democrats watched it several times a week or more. so there really is an effort here to try to demonize a source of information. and, you know, you guys don't make this stuff up. the stuff you're reporting is stuff that's happening. you know, pugh research did a study during the last campaign that as far as i'm concerned is definitive. they looked at the fox news stuff. not like we're doing now which is opinion. but the news part. the 6:00 and 7:00 news broadcast. and they did the number of seconds that were devoted to positive and negative coverage of each candidate. and the only network that came close to parody between positive and negative on obama and on mccain was fox news. the others were skewed four and five to 1 negative on mccain and positive on obama. >> spea
, the big question is whether or not his defense attorneys will actually ask for this case and the charges to be dropped, and what the judge will say about that, or, if there's some other reason for them to meet. you know what, what we're learning is there are details that have come out about the accuser in this case, and her past, that even had the prosecution now asking questions about this woman. questions that this trial could hinge on, because she is their witness. the only way that they can really press sexual assault charges against dominic strauss-kahn is with her testimony, convincingly, so it has been said, by prosecutors up until now. will defense attorneys for dominic strauss-kahn then ask this judge to dismiss the charges based on the fact that the prosecution may or may not have enough evidence to go forward. we're watching this, that meeting is coming up, those manhattan prosecutors and defense lawyers, meeting in an office. as soon as we know what -- what has happened, we'll bring it to tower office. this is big news, this man lost his job behind the sexual assault charges
